HOW DO I?

If you have decided you want to find out more about being a Catholic, perhaps from what you've read or after meeting a Catholic at work or socially, please get in touch. A group for those Catholics who have been away from the community for a while, or those looking at joining the Church, meets each Monday evening. This group follow the process outlined in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) after a period of exploration and getting to know each other. Alternatively you might wish to come along to one of the Masses or visit the church when it is quiet - we're open everyday!

If you are looking to get married, congratulations. Holy Matrimony is a place of grace and blessing. In order to get married at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, you will need to provide 6 months notice. We will invite you to take part in a day-long marriage preparation session with other couples. As for the ceremony itself, the parish team will be able to assist in planning the Nuptial Mass (or simple wedding service). The gift of Baptism is the very best gift that you can give your child. It allows them to become an adopted child of God and brings them into the community of faith. As parents and godparents, friends and family, you will be asked to help nurture the child’s seed of faith into a maturity as they grow. There are many ways to get involved at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart whether helping with the flowers, providing music or assisting with our support of the poor.
